Welcome to your new Wing Chun School here in Shanghai
Even though kung fu (meaning "hard work") has its roots in China, the styles of Wing Chun, Wingtsun and Ving Tsun are not as wide-spread on the mainland as they are in Hong Kong. In Chatting with Chines people, I've heard that they love to watch kung fu movies, but to train kung fu...No! Its just too much work!
Nevertheless, we foreigners have the good fortune to see kung fu with fresh eyes, and to recognize in it many great values of ancient cultures and martial artists which were developed here in China! So, lets bring back those wonderful things to China!
So far, my school is just opening and not in competition with other schools here in Shanghai. I respect all other Wing Chun styles, and all orher martial arts as well.
Why do I post "Chinese traditions with German quality"? Very simple!
When I came to China and took the initiative to contact all 3 or 4 existing schools and Sifu's I was surprised... even though we all practice Wing Chun, there is a big difference in technical variety, detailed excecution but also understanding the principles! It looks and feels in some cases different. But the success in the end and logical explanation shows that I'm not wrong. Through my interaction and exchange with high level Chinese practitioners and instructors, I have been thankful to receive very positve feedback on how we Germans have done our part to perfect the system of Wing Chun. Wing Chun is a very logical, mechanical, and systematic style, and as we all know Germans are very respected and adapt at this kind of thinking.
Therefore, I am very happy to be respected here, and to have the chance to share this knowledge and quality thinking, especially in regards to Wing Chun, with you.
Now, have a quick look around my site and feel free to contact me at any time, whether you want to train, exchange ideas or just discuss about this wonderful martial art!
